SCHOOL-BASED PROGRAM
More than 25 years of making a difference in the lives of students and their families.
Outreach Concern is a non-profit school-based counseling program founded and directed by Dr. Capaldi that focuses on children and adolescents in grades K through 12. Violence, child abuse, parent/child conflict, bullying and dozens of other problems negatively influence performance in the classroom. Left unresolved, these issues can lead to class disruptions, poor attention, low academic achievement and even self-destructive behavior.
For the past 25 years, many schools in Los Angeles and Orange Counties have significantly improved the performance and grades of at-risk students with the services of Outreach Concern, a highly cost-effective results-based comprehensive guidance program.
It allows teachers to focus on teaching instead of negative behavior. Since its inception, Outreach Concern has counseled over 500,000 students in more than 990 schools. Based on a 10-year accountability study, Outreach Concern has demonstrated an 87% performance improvement, focused on academic, behavioral, emotional and social issues.
