OVERVIEW
It’s no secret in the business world that a company’s most important assets go home to their families every night. Products, patents and processes mean little without the right people to manage, sell and service them. Identifying the best candidate for a job, especially at the executive level, can be a hit-and-miss proposition if left up to the traditional series of brief interviews. Too often, details are missed that reveal themselves as unfortunate traits weeks or months down the road. Incorporating a Management and Behavioral Assessment provides an organization an additional dimension in looking at the various competencies and developmental opportunities a new or valued employee brings to an organization.

It helps an organization truly understand the strengths and weaknesses of an individual being considered for promotion or as a new hire.
Our process identifies key characteristics such as leadership abilities, growth potential and corporate culture compatibility. It allows the candidate to better understand the attributes he or she can bring to the organization.
We also look closely at the organization to evaluate how they approach important issues such as talent identification and development, succession planning and executive leadership training. The result is the creation of a successful relationship from day one. Not being hired or promoted in the first place is significantly better for the company and the executive than having to fire or be fired after a few months of incompatibility.
Our Process
Incorporating the Capaldi & Associates’ management assessment process as part of your hiring and selection criteria helps ensure a company makes the right fit and gains insight on how best to develop an individual to meet the growing challenges of the organization.
The process starts with the candidate or employee completing a detailed self-administered assessment. Then within 24 hours of completing the assessment, the organization receives the Executive Assessment Summary Checksheet (EASC) from Capaldi & Associates providing over 50 management and behavioral characteristics germane to executive performance. Additional strengths and developmental opportunities are also noted, that allow the organization to identify opportunities that may positively or negatively impact the employee’s effectiveness on the job.
Along with the Executive Assessment Summary Checksheet, the organization is contacted by one of the Capaldi & Associates developmental experts to further describe and answer additional questions the employer might identify regarding their employee.
In the final step, Capaldi & Associates provides a detailed Executive Developmental Profile on the applicant or employee, describing in greater detail the information provided in the EASC, including management and leadership style, problem solving, strategic planning, execution, and attentional focus; along with developmental recommendations to assist in the ongoing training, development and succession planning of the candidate or employee. Capaldi & Associates will provide a sample Executive Developmental Profile upon request. This information can be used to share with the employee’s supervisor, as well as be provided directly to the employee (if desired) by one of the Capaldi & Associates developmental experts to assist in the ongoing development and enhancement of the employee’s present skill sets.
